£35 a night is cheap and you can sit in the foyer and have a bowl of coco pops for £4.50 in the morning if you want, but don't count on any sleep.
The rooms are clean, well laid out and have lovely shortbread but, and it is a MASSIVE but, you won't get any sleep.
NOISY, NOISY, NOISY, NOISY, NOISY.
BEEP, BEEP, BEEP goes the reversing tune of the articulated lorry 20 yards from your window. VROOM, VROOM, VROOM goes the 500 horsepower engine every 10 minutes of every hour all night long.
Triple glazing should have been a must for the rooms here but not a a chance. Who would have thought that slapping a hotel between the M1 and a truck park could be so noisy. I think I'm going to try a tent at Mallory Park next week. It can't be any noisier.
A special thanks must go to my tight-arsed manager who won't pay for anything better. Cheers mate (we'll call him John) for the worst two nights sleep ever.
