In a departure from the usual curry, Eej expertly navigated to this Portugese restaurant, and we picked up Rob en route.

The staff (owner) was very friendly and immediately got us settled with some Super Bok lager, whilst we ordered some humous for as an appetizer (with bread and pitta) for all. Then chicken livers starters for Eej, chicken liver pate for Rob and tuna pate for myself.  These starters were huge (see pic below), and we were almost continually proffered more bread for the journey.

Certainly my tuna was excellent, although really it was a bit like a tuna mayo with toast and salad, but topped up with the hummous for extra zeal. Eej quickly made short work of the chicken livers, and no complaints from my left as Rob demolished his pate.

Next was mains; Rack of ribs for myself, half a free-range chicken for Eej, and I forget what Robs was, but his mash looked good and he remarked the supplied sauce was rather spicy. Not quite as spicy as the extra hot sauce Eej has asked for though.

Check out the Jenga chip stack. My ribs were nice, not drowned in sauce like you find in some gastro-pubs, and the hot sauce made a nice accompaniement. By the end of mains, Eej said he began to struggle a bit, testiment to the portion size and bread sides.

Really nice fill-em-up food. Watch they don’t load you too much with bread in the friendly way they do as they do charge you extra. Bill with just one beer each and a lime and soda was just over £50.
