A jaunt around Manchester city centre found Gary and myself outside the Printworks, and after about a 30min wait in the bar area we were shown to a table with a bowl of popcorn to placate our rumbling guts.

After perusing the menu and relaying our choice to "just call me if you need me, I'm Heather" we set about defacing the tablecloth with the supplied crayons. A neat way to further distract your customers from any possible delays in the kitchen.

Much drawing and analysis later..

..starters arrived. Wedges with cheese for Gary, and crab cakes for myself. The crab cakes were tasty enough with a strange chilli dressing, a ton of red onion and some sweet marmalade type coulis. On with the mains….sensing a pattern in Gary's culinary choices, his steak (medium) arrived and was consumed with nare a complaint nor approval. I had ordered, however, a bison burger, and a claiming low-fat low-chloresterol experience I anticipated disappointment. I was wrong. It was a burger, meaty, tasty, well-seasoned, chunky and I was a man again. Ug.

Too much eaten for desserts, and with a drink each we prepared for a plastic card assault. £32 summit. Disappointly below budget and Gary's card survived intact. Yay! Even Heather was surprised at the lack of genitals drawn on the tablecloth. She obviously never studied Freud.
