After the cinema delight of Serenity and the awful trauma that was
a 10min H&M advert prior to the film, Monkey, Big Al, Mr.
Butterpants and I set off to find Dimitris. Using state-of-the-art
Blackberry technology and a call to Mrs Al, we found it right across
the street.

Reminiscent of a typical European Cafe, Dimitris was welcoming and
offered "Mediteranean" fare. Most of which seemed Greek in nature,
stiffado, kelftico, houlumi and the like. After "dips", that being four
strange but mostly tasty and colourful sauces with some cut pitta
bread, came the Houlumi for me……aboslutely lovely, and probably
very bad for my diet. Big Al and Monkey went for the Meze for Two, with
all sorts of good stuff including chicken, chirizo, meatballs – I
dutifully dipped in and they were all georgeous. I had also ordered the
Chicken Piri Piri despite being warned by the others it may be "hot".

"Hot" was not the word…..chicken marinated in tea would be more akin
to the spicness of the chilli oil that the chicken was cooked in.
Nonetheless, it was delicious and went really nicely with my houlumi.

The cost was good too, with several beers, coke, orange juice and a
cappucino, the total came to a shade oer £80 for the four of us.

I’d definately recommend this fella if you fancy Tapas, Meze or Greek food in general.
