This restaurant is on the A34 so its easy to find. It’s got a big
car park and as I was busting when I got there I noticed that the
toilets were nice and clean.

This is a big place. DT’s
mentioned it in the past. I got there quite early (around 6pm) and
there were already about 4 tables in use.

The waiters
are numerous and sharply dressed. They immediatley pounced and I got a
good table. Pops and pickles materialised and they were very good
with a very hot onion pickle. The pop tray was magic as well and will
keep young kids entertained for literally minutes. It’s a 2 tier affair
where the pops on top stay still but the pickles underneath rotate.
Very clever.

The onion bhaji was great. Just like an armadillo, crunchy on the outside, smooth on the inside. Lovely.

Another
group entered around this stage and I heard the worst joke ever in an
Indian.

This chap from Liverpool asked for a Cobra and
one of his lady companions asked what a Cobra was. His rapier like
response was ‘Its a snake’. Come back Graham, all is forgiven.

I had
Mr Khandoker’s favourite for main. Chicken Dahl with a couple of
chappatis. The Dahl was delicious, not too spicy, but very tasty. I
could have quite easily forgone the chicken in it. The lentils were
cooked beautifully.

Other things of note are a membership scheme
costing a tenner that gets you (plus at least 2 friends) a 10% discount
on all future meals. Also take aways are 25% less than the restaurant
costs which would make it wuite cheap for carryouts. I’ll be taking Troy at some time.

Cost just over £15.00 including 2 pints of coke.
