This fella was found by the Curry God that is Eej and after reading all
the reviews for it we felt it worthy of a visit by Team Curry. In
attendance; Eej, Big (Egg Factory) Al, Mrs Big Al, Monkey and myself.

This is a buffet restaurant, and at £10 a head we were suspicious of
all the good reviews. The suspicion however, was completely unfounded.

As per the reviews, the building was impressive, a large open space
with brick-walled areas and a large curved ceiling, made bigger by huge
mirrors at one end, and, unlike most of the small intimate places we
normally attend, this place was bristling with business.

Having all arrived we immediately began the business of starters, and
everything was there for the taking; bhaji’s, samosa, pickles, salads,
pakora, you name it. All seemed fresh and tasty – no complaints here.

There was also an impressive array of main courses, more than I’d seen
before at a buffet. From lamb keema to chicken balti, everyones taste
seemed to be taken care of. Three mouthfulls into the mains though, a
resounding comment was evident…."woah…this is quite spicy".
Unexpected for buffet dishes, my chicken balti was….low madras hot
IMO….and similar things were coming from the mouths of the keema
eaters, with poor Mrs Al declaring in her best Little Britain voice, "I
don’t like it".

But there was more….oh yes…the dessert section looked appealing with
all that ice cream, especially in light of the fire-spiced mains…so
in Eej dived. He returned with a smile…."they have blackjack
icecream! AND bubblegum icecream!"…..A careful look around revealed no children present, so Monkey and I charged.

Yes…..grey icecream….and the brightest blue stuff you’ve ever seem. I’m expecting funny coloured urine sometime soon.

An amazing £76 for 5 of us including drinks give this place the 1st
place position for buffet restaurants….go visit….marvel at food
colourings!
