Ok, cheap for the area, I’ll give you that, but after a short three night stay last week I decided to try somewhere else in future.
- No towels in room.
- No biscuits included with tea/coffee facilities.
- Lift out of order for the duration of my stay.
- Car parking extra and not operated by the hotel which means you can’t get it included in the price. It’s pay and display, and if you do not have the necessary cash there is a nightmare of an automated telephone system you can ring to pay by debit/credit card. Not ideal when it’s pouring down with rain. £3 for 24hours parking.
- The “cafe/bar” is sparse. No character, small bar with no draught beers. Menu is ample, but the portion of Thai green curry I had was small, and clearly nuked from a pre-packaged sachet.
- TV picture on Channel4 tended to stutter, quite annoying, so resorted to using my laptop.
- No free wireless. Only their pay as you go affair.
Overall, very poor. Premier Inn next time.
