Met up with Le Minkey since he’s not far away from my current contract in Walsall, and we braved the dropping temperatures to sample the fares of this nice looking establishment.
Le Minkey commented how he hadn’t been for a while, but actually it was quite nice looking, something he hadn’t noticed in his previous states of inebriation.
Starters were ordered and I went for the mixed starter dish.
This was fab; chick peas, kebab, tikka chicken and salad. You can also see Le Minkeys onion bhaji in the background of the photo. The red sauce was good and fiery.
Mains, of which sadly I have no photo, was a chicken madras, and as the regular benchmark for a new restaurant that I visit, was really good. It was definately at the hotter end of the scale for madras dishes, and even had a whole chilli sitting in there, something not usually found in a madras. A top madras, recommended.
Prices were reasonable, which I can’t remember now, but if you find yourself in this area, definately one to visit.
