This hotel mostly sucks, but with a good corporate rate, a gym and being very close to work I find it handy and have found myself routinely booking here when I'm working in Manchester.
Why does it mostly suck?
- TV remotes regularly broken, batteryless or missing.
- Bathrooms regularly leak.
- Free wifi (although free) is very unstable.
- TV's have bad connections to the rooms ariel sockets resulting in bad reception for a lot of channels.
- Air conditioning mostly a whisper and when you really need it, it's useless.
Quirks?
- Try and find the stairs from the 5th floor to the 4th floor, go on try.
Good stuff?
- When the wifi is working, it's available pretty much on every floor now, and it's free.
- Breakfast buffet is good, aside from the stewed coffee plonked on (not every) table before you get there.
- The gym is cheap (although small, only 4 running machines, and the swimming pool is rather small too).
