Herb and I ventured into Leicester in search of Thai food. Thank God for Herb's tom tom. Got us there no probs. Parking was a pain in the proverbial.

This is a lovely restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly and polite. There weren't many in and I have no idea why. The food was fantastic.

We umm'd and ahh'd for a while and went for a siam gold and a tiger beer. very nice. Herb went for the KFC lookalike chicken goujons with chilli sauce for starters. I went for the Mee Grob (deep fried noodles in a sweet, sticky coating). Herb says his chicken dippers were extra light and very moreish. My Mee Grob was lovely and sweet with a good deal of batter to keep you interested. Fantastic.

For mains, Herb went for a red chicken curry with steamed rice and I had the pork Pad Thai. Herb was again entranced by his dish and it looked lovely. My aversion to coconut kept me well away from it. My pad thai was great. Very well cooked with all the essential thai elements of sweet, sour, hot, spicy, crunchy and soft.

Give this jem of a place a go. It's very good. We'll be coming back soon.
And its cheap. £31 all in. Can't say fairer than that.
