For some reason, despite having been three times now, this restaurant
has never had a write up. Poor show on our part especially since it’s
been consistantly good.

On this occasion Dean, Gerry and myself braved the cold Manchester
evening, marched past Chinatown, and into Princess Street where this
place beckons with a warm glow – well anything is warmer than
Manchester right now.

After a short appraisal of the menu, we decided on the set buffet for
three, and Efes beer was ordered. Along came the olives. Marvellous if
you like that sort of thing, but them black fellas are just a little too
salty for my palate.

The first course of our meal was a mixture of hot and cold starters
including Haloumi, Meatball (in the singular), humus, some sort of
ricotta samosa, deep-fried king prawn, and a variety of dips with
salad. All very tasty, and helped along with the accompanying warm
pitta bread.

Mains were a mix of kebab, chicken, lamb and chops, with rice. We asked
for some chilli sauce, which has a pleasant heat, with plenty of
tomatoes and a BBQ’y tint. Certainly enough to fill us up. Meat was
eaten, bones were sucked and rice was demolished – what else needs to
be said….

Well, just one other thing….the bill was £59 which included two Efes
beers each. Outstanding value and gloriously within budget. Yay!

Definately one to recommend.
