Here we go, now posted in Skelmersdale for a few weeks so expect a few reports from that neck of the woods.

This place has a handy car park opposite. Mini-me, Stu and myself ended up in Ormskirk as I'd seen this place in my travels before.

Instantly disappointing were the stale pops and limited pickles (mint sauce, onions and mango chutney, that's it). Bottled and therefore expensive Indian beers and Carlsberg on draft.

For starters Mini-Me had Onion bhajis whilst Stu and me had mixed kebab (onion bhaji, sheek kebab, lamb and chicken tikka and a samosa). I have to say that the standard of food was dragged straight up. This was top drawer food.

For mains the menu is excellent with three Speciality sections. Between the three of us we had Chicken Tikka Sharisha (mustard and chillis), Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi Balti and something else which I can't remember. We also had boiled rice (excellent), chapatis and plain naan (again excellent). No-one complained except we all thought it was quite hot (spicy). I had the Sharisha and it was very spicy but delicious. The chicken was breast only and there was plenty in my portion. I really enjoyed it.

It cost £65 for three of us with two rounds of drinks. Excellent. Give it a go, but ask for fresh pops.
