This is one of the chain of Toby/Inn Keepers pub/restaurants. This one Tina likes and we have been to on a number of occasions.

Why does Tina like it? Veg is the simple answer, and tons of it to boot. If you have opt for the cavery rather than something from the menu, you can feast on a choice of turkey, beef or gammon (or indeed all three), and help yourself to unlimited veg. You can even revisit the veg counter if you didn’t pile enough on your plate the first time ’round.

I have to say that, I do enjoy the cavery myself, but usually fall into the trap of eating too much, having a pudding, and have to be rolled home. The horseradish gravy I find particularly lovely.

Puds are all nice too, old English favourites here; treacle sponge, rhubarb and apple crumble (with unilimited custard), knickerbocker glory, ice creams, chocolate fudge cakes….my belly is buldging and my arteries hardening at the mere thought.

Fairly priced too I might add, though I’ll have to go find the last receipt before I can tell you exactly. More later.
