Thanks to Martin Nixon who suggested the Nepalese in the same set
of shops. Troyski had gone off to see the other Linux geeks for an
Italian and left me to my own devices. Having OD’d on curry recently I
fancied some chinese and this place came closest (literally).

Entered
the restaurant to find it empty bar 3 drunks arguing about golf and
currency (nearly as bad as a night of Unix jokes) and a solitary
couple. No staff, nothing. After a few minutes a happy looking thai
dressed lady came out and asked if I wanted a take-away. Apologised and
asked for my sad man table-for-one. In the nearly empty restaurant she
plonked me next to the couple. Goodbye romance, hello fat bloke.

No free prawn crackers.
Ordered Singha
beer which was lovely and a large bottle of mineral water which was
warm. Sorted this out with glasses of ice all night.

The lady disappeared and an ugly fella with bad hearing and a pierced eyebrow took her place.
Ordered Mee Crob, Pad Thai and Battered Cod with Tamarind sauce plus Thai fragrant rice.
The
food took a long time to arrive but was well worth the wait. Fantastic
food, especially the fish. Massive portions (they must have been big
‘cos i left some Pad Thai – unheard of).

Entertainment
consisted of said pierced lad trying to fix the new Visa swipe machine
for half an hour before giving up and taking to Dad in the back.

Scruffy place but great food.
A tad expensive at £25.00
