After a few pints of guinness at the Slaughterhouse, the barman suggested this place just down the road.

Meet is a carnivores delight. The restaurant is suitably smokey enough for the smokers to exist happily even tho they aren’t allowed to smoke. Must be from the grill which is open to the restaurant. As the name suggests, its a place to meet friends and eat meat. Big bits of it if you want. You can also tailor your menu to your wallet which is quite handy.

No corona here, but the Brahma (brazilian beer) was just as refreshing with the thinnest slice of lime I’ve ever seen.

My guest reviewer was Mike Pimlott who being an amateur chef bored me to death about the tomato pesto sauce that we got with everything. We had Chorizo a la Parilla and Picadita for starters. This was a grilled chorizo sausage with the pesto sauce and Picadita is stilton, hams and olives with the pesto sauce. Both got the thumbs up.

Mains were Bife which is a steak with mashed spuds. This steak could be 8oz, 16oz or 24oz and the price went up with the weight. I had the ribs and they were very well cooked. I would have preferred a proper BBQ sauce instead of yet more pesto, but they were fantastic and mountainous.
The waitress was very friendly and had actually been to Argentina. The service was very good.

Cost was £38 excluding tip and including 4 beers. Brilliant. Could have been double that if we’d had the big steaks.
