Last week saw Eej pass Northampton on his way to "Central", and was a perfect opportunity for him to pop over to my place and go curry-hunting. After some googling I decided on this place, it had a good review and as long it was still there it was worth a shot.

Unusually though, we were accompanied by my better half Tina, along with the kids; Jess and Adam. Ideal for canvassing new opinion.

This restaurant is along the Kettering Road, a thriving street with shops and businesses, leading into the town centre.  Decor was nice, modern, with a mix of muzak to comment on. Pops and pickles were ordered for all, and they didn't disappoint, with Jess particularly taken with the yoghurt dip.

Eej and I had the mixed starter for two…tandoori lamb, chicken, onion bhajee on a skillet sizzling with sliced onions and mushrooms. All good (except the fungus which I don't like anyway). Chicken samosa came out for Tina, but with her sensitive tastes, was a little too spicey for her. The kids both had chicken pakora, which they both loved, especially Jess with her new found passion for yoghurt dip.

Mains including a chicken rezalla for myself; a dry hot curry (about madras hot), laced with green chillies. A chicken pathia was consumed by Eej (I didn't hear any complaints), and chicken tikka masala was delivered to the remainder of our party. All enjoyed the mains, breads and rice. No complaints at all, and Jess had some MORE yoghurt dip.

So, the online recommendation I'd seen was a good'un. Certainly worthy of a visit.

The bill was a shade over £100 for the 5 of us including drinks.
