A recent excursion from Manchester (very rare), had me "daan sowf" for an APV course at IBM Hursley. This is always a good excuse to go see my folks, and a visit to their local Indian called the Jarna was called for.
I've been here a number of times now and always found it pleasant, the waiters attentive and friendly. This visit was no exception.
Remembering that the Jarna's "heat" was more top-end I ordered a chicken madras, with rice and a chapati. Dad had the meat madras, and Mum had the lamb tikka. A side order of saag aloo followed. As my folks had already snacked before my arrival no starters were ordered.
True to form the madras was a perky number, definately high-end madras, low-end vindaloo in my book. And most delicious, with pieces of chicken more like fillets than chunks. The saag aloo was perfect, and the whole lot went down a treat. No doggy bag for Dad this time!
No complaints either from Mum or Dad, so excellent all round.
With some beers, the bill was £38. Most reasonable, and complimentary port to boot.
If you're on the south coast anywhere near New Milton, definately give this one a go.
