We live in Retford which is a few miles from Worksop, but travel here because we think its the best food in the area (Retford, Worksop, Bawtry). Its not bad value either. Try it out. It is definitely worth it.

Six of us went this time including 3 kids and one girlfriend. We all had pops including spicy ones which were fiery. The pickles were very fresh and we all ate tons of them.

We then went boring and plumped for loads of onion bhajees. These are, in my opinion, the best bhajees you can get. They are brilliant. Just the right size, texture and flavour. Eaten with the red chilli and tandoori sauces they are fantabulous. Al had chicken tikka which looked ok.

For mains we had all sorts of meals. Al had a chicken phall which was obviously mind blowing, Kirk the lamb massalla, Hannah the chicken tikka, Donna the chicken shashlick, Jussi the passanda chicken and I had the keema madras. Not one complaint. All the dishes were huge with good meat and great salads. Donna's meal was the best Indian main course she'd ever had. Loads of chargrilled onions and peppers and a huge fresh salad. Thank the Lord we've finally found something she can't complain about. Jussi's passanda was bright red, but creamy and mild and had a lovely taste. My madras was warm but not averly nasty.

All the rice we had was well presented and perfectly cooked and Kirk was amazed by how good the Naan breads were. All in all, an excellent meal.

£90 for six including tip and loads of drinks.
