Nice place, great food, excellent service.

That’s for starters. This is a very good restaurant. We arrived in dribs and drabs and the waiters could not have been more helpful. Most places would try to get you in and out quickly but these guys were very relaxed.

We sat in the waiting area for quite a while and started drinking. Magic Spices needs to get some draft beer in because bottled beer is far too expensive. I had the Bangla beer which was very good and went down a treat. We had the big bottles and I have no idea how much they were but the small ones were £2.50 so close to double that. I re-iterate, get some draft beers in.

Troyski, let me tell you that the pickles on offer here are the most abundant ever seen with a couple of new sauces, a garlic one and a chilli one, that complimented the usual suspects excellently.

There were eight of us at dinner and we had a fair selection of starters and mains. Not one word of complaint except that some were too full after the pops and starters to eat any of their mains.

For my part, the onion bhajee was delicious and the salad fresh. My main was Chicken Pathia and it was fantastic, though a little heavy on the onions. Sweet, sour and hot. I also had a mushroom bhajee side dish that was also very good with quite delicate spices and well flavoured mushrooms. The naan was of a high standard.

Everyone else was impressed. Mike P must have been relieved as he had recommended this place. I add to that recommendation. Excellent.

Cost was £200 including tip for 8 people with a few drinks each. (£25 each). Not bad and worth that little bit more.
