Another new place this week, tested by myself and my step-daughter Jessica. Smart looking place, with a reception/bar area, and polite matching smart staff. We were taken straight to a table, no fuss.

Usual pops and pickles to start. Jess liked the mint sauce and noted it had the hue of a basalmic vinegar.

Mains ordered; Chicken Jalfrezi, Butter Chicken, Mushroom and Keema Rice, and a Garlic Naan.

The Jalfrezi was excellent and peppered with chopped green chillies. Plenty of madras-level spice. Keema rice also very nice and could’ve been eaten as a meal on it’s own. Portions were a good size. Garlic Naan also really nice and I was gutted I couldn’t finish it all.

Just when I thought the evening couldn’t get any better, the waiter brought out a plate with a coaster and two tablets on it. I thought, what was this about? Suicide pills? He then proceeded to pour hot water on them, and hey presto, hot towels!

Reminded me of my childhood of indoor fireworks.

Another one I’ll be back to to try other things on the menu. Recommended.

£33 including two large diet cokes.
